• Chase Sapphire Preferred® (personal card with a $95 annual fee, our recommended option)
• Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card (business card with a $95 annual fee)

It is necessary for a member of your household to possess one of these cards to enable the transfer of Chase points. For instance, if your spouse or partner (residing in the same household) holds the Chase Sapphire Preferred, they can contact Chase (using the number on the back of the Sapphire Preferred card) to link your accounts.

Upon completing this step, you will have the ability to transfer points from one card to another by merging them onto a card that supports such transfers. To execute this, navigate to your Ultimate Rewards account, select “Rewards details,” and proceed to click on “Combine Points.”

Another compelling reason to consolidate points arises when you possess a Chase card that lacks the ability to transfer points. Examples include the Ink Business Cash® Credit Card or the Chase Freedom Flex℠. Individually, these cards cannot facilitate point transfers to partner programs. Therefore, combining these points into a card that supports transfers becomes essential.

For instance, it is possible to merge points earned from your Chase Ink Business Cash® Credit Card with those accumulated from your Chase Sapphire Preferred account. By consolidating these points into your Chase Sapphire Preferred account, you can then proceed with transferring them effectively.

MOVING YOUR POINTS TO A TRAVEL PARTNER

To initiate the process, simply log in to your Chase account. If you hold multiple Chase cards, locate the specific card containing the points you wish to transfer.

Click on the “Redeem” button. Following this action, you will be directed to a page displaying various options for utilizing your points. Navigate to the top right of the screen and select “Travel” from the navigation bar, then proceed to click on “Transfer points to Partners.” Locate the partner to whom you intend to transfer points and proceed by adhering to the provided instructions.

Points Transfer Pro Tips

• Prior to commencing a points transfer to Air France for example, it is essential to establish an Air France account. Please visit the Air France website to create an account, ensuring that the name on your Air France account precisely matches the name on your credit card without any deviations such as nicknames or abbreviations.
• It is strongly advised to refrain from transferring points until you have determined the specific redemption option you wish to pursue and are fully prepared to proceed with a booking. The availability of award flights fluctuates regularly; an award flight secured in the evening may not be available the next morning.
• While the idea of conducting a test transfer may be appealing, it is not recommended. Such actions could potentially trigger fraud alerts when proceeding with the actual transfer shortly thereafter, as the system closely monitors transfers made within a short period.
